After morning prayers, Jesus was presented to the Jews at the Roman collonade’s overhang overlooking Temple. There are two collonades which are used as a shortcut for Roman soldiers for a quick access from Fort Antonia to the main Temple structure.

Jesus had no more strength to carry his cross after all the beating he endured.  The soldiers literally had to drag him under his arms to Golgotta. Simon from Cyrene, Libya was a known person to the writer of Mark in that they knew he was the father of Alexander and Rufus and a Judean who came to Jerusalem to celebrate Passover and Feast of Unleavened Bread.  Jesus never touched his cross as depicted in many paintings and in Christian tradition.  The word used in John 10:17 is the Greek work “bastazo” is different from Matthew 15:21 which is “airo” for Simon carrying the literal cross.

Luke 23:27 - And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented him

Luke 23:28 - But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children.

Luke 23:29 - For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck.

Luke 23:31- For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?

Matt 27:34 - Jesus was offered cheap Roman wine mixed with bitter wormwood as pain reliever but he refused.

Mark 15:25 - Jesus was crucified on the 3rd hour after sunset ( 9 AM ).

Mark 15:24 - Jesus outer garment was ripped into four parts and his seamless tunic or undergarment, the soldiers cast lots to see who would possess it.

Matt 27:28 - And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.

Mark 15:17 - And they clothed him with purple, and platted a crown of thorns, and put it about his head,

Matt 27:29 - And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!

Mark 15:19 - And they smote him on the head with a reed, and did spit upon him, and bowing their knees worshipped him.

Matt 27:31 - And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him.

Matt 27:32 - And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross

Jesus was referring to the Day of Tribulations at the War of Armageddon when Israel will be overrun by its enemies and all males of fighting age will be killed.  Only the women and old men will be spared.

The tree was green because Jesus came to Israel.  But when they crucified him, the tree became dry and on 70 AD, the tree dried up by the destruction of the Temple and the Jews were scattered to all nations.  After the two World War, the nation of Israel was born but without accepting Jesus as the Messiah.  This would be the reason why it will be destroyed again because it was a dry tree.  It will take the coming of the stone at Jesus 2nd coming to destroy all the enemies of Israel as prophesied by Daniel. Then, the fig tree will be green again with the presence of Israel’s Messiah.
